I became acquainted with Nancy Kerry through contentious circumstances when she was Assistant to the City Manager, then became City Manager of South Lake Tahoe. I was very unhappy, vocal & writing letters against an annual music event supported by the City which began years ago. I have been attending City Council Meetings when items of interest are on the Agenda for 25 years but stepped up my attendance during the last 7 years. Ms. Kerry’s professionalism & remarkable ability to have budgets, projections, statistics, and whatever the Council seemed to need just as they asked for it, was impressive.
Ms. Kerry went out of her way several times to make sure the my husband & I, plus the others, who were most effected by the music event were included in meetings of interest. She always responded quickly, by phone or email, when I had questions regarding city policies.
Ms. Kerry was able to project a personal warmth that changed our contentious beginning into a friendly acquaintance over the years. I observed her critically for quite some time & feel confident in recommending her as conscientious and dedicated to doing her job as a vocation.
